Nick Thorburn recently played the Bowery Ballroom with his new supergroup Mister Heavenly—members include Nick from Islands, Honus Honus from Man Man, Joe Plummer from Modest Mouse, and Michael Cera (on bass for the tour).
We caught up with Nick beforehand and took some photos of him in his Brooklyn Tailors bespoke black worsted wool suit.

The show was great, and if you haven’t heard them yet you can check out two songs from their upcoming album on Sub Pop records. Brooklyn Vegan did a review of the show with some great photos as well.

Brooklyn Diary - 2010
Brooklyn Diary is a new book from the Lines & Shapes folks - a Brooklyn-based independent publisher/art & design collective. Ten different photographers were asked to document and profile some of their favorite places to walk, shop, eat, and be in Brooklyn, and we were flattered to have photographer Brian Ferry come by our workspace and include us in his section of the book.
Click the ‘read more’ link below to see some of Brian’s photos from the book.
If you’re not familiar with Lines & Shapes, be sure to visit their website, where you can learn more about Brooklyn Diary and their other books.
Also, you should check out more of Brian’s photography at his blog.

Elliot Aronow, founder of RCRD LBL and host of OUR SHOW, our new favorite underground TV program. We shot him wearing a couple of his custom suits and shirts near our place in Brooklyn recently.
